Shortage in Strategic Petroleum Reserve, China In Dire Need of Opening Up
ANBOUND

The recent report by Reuters on China's strategic petroleum reserve has caught market’s attention.

Anbound’s research team points out that as China increases the import of petroleum to fill up its strategic petroleum reserve, what remains striking is the lack of storage facilities.

If China opens up its strategic petroleum rerserve to the private enterprises or capital, then the storage facilities could be expanded quickly in a short period.

Although there are some technical problems that need to be overcome, from the perspective of strategy, the opening up of strategic petroleum reserve to the private enterprises can help replenish the storage facilities effectively.
