Anbound's chief researcher Chan Kung believes that just like the rest of the world, China’s society is ruled by social elites, rather than by public society. However, elites are due to be metabolized, and the metabolism itself is an embodiment of a society’s healthiness. In case of the elite metabolism is challenged, social pressure would be aggregated, and society would face the risk of breaking down.
