"Democratic" Myanmar Not Necessarily A Bulwark Against Western Criticism

Since the military junta stepped aside in 2011, Myanmar's general election in 2015 has become the focus of international attention.
Anbound’s research team is of the view that China should stay objective when analysing "democratised" Myanmar. While re-evaluating its relationship with Myanmar, China should also seek cooperation opportunities with Myanmar who is undergoing “normalization” process.
A “democratized” Myanmar is not necessarily a bulwark to protect China against western criticism.
