At present, China can produce 13 billion pairs of shoes a year whereby 10 billion shoes are meant for export and another 3 billion to cater domestic needs. If production highly shifted to overseas then most of the factories along the coastal will have to move or close down causing over 19 million people to lose their jobs. Under such a circumstance, Anbound suggests the Chinese government to pursue various approaches to alleviate the enterprises' operation cost. On the other hand, the footwear industry should face the relocation trend positively by making adjustment soonest possible.
