The Washington DC's highest court has suspended Rudy Giuliani's law license, barring him from practicing law in Washington. Just recently, the New York court has also prohibited him from making false claims.

Giuliani was one of several lawyers who took part in former President Trump's re-election campaign, and failed to make the court to overturn the 2020 election results, especially in the key swing states where the current President Joe Biden won. These legal challenges were eventually rejected by federal and state courts, and the New York court has even criticized Giuliani for making "false and misleading statements" about the election loss of former President Donald Trump, and added that this "immediately threatens the public interest", citing the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters as the result.

Giuliani is also facing multiple billion-dollar lawsuits from voting companies Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic over his postelection fraud claim.

During the entire Trump election campaign, Giuliani started with sparing no effort to defend Trump, yet in the end this became a battle to save himself, as he knew very well that if Trump failed, he would probably not be able to practice law anymore, and has to pursue other profession.
