The development of the Far East region in Russia is gradually turning into a hotspot.

Anbound's scholars are of the view that in light of the economic sanctions against Russian imposed by the western countries, the need to develop the country’s Far East region is real as it is Russian’s strategy.

However, as far as the Chinese investors are concerned, there are certain risks associated with the development of the Russia’s Far East, not least because this sparsely populated part of Russia on its own does not have a big market.

Among the key things that the Russia’s Far East can complement with China are its resources and its land.

It requires further observation to tell when the "big cake" of Russia’s Far East will materialize.
