Due to large-scale protest by local residents, officials from Jiangmen City and Heshan city declared that the nuclear fuel plant project would not be carried out without the consent of the residents. From this accident, Anbound believes that a new trend of environmental protection activities is emerging in China of which the outcome would be the increase of investment costs for some projects or worst, the termination of these projects.
