The El Nino phenomenon has frequently disrupted the China's climate and caused weather disasters which affect the production of food, spending, logistics and transports and certain industries.
Anbound’s research team points out that the China’s economy is now facing significant downward pressure and since 2015 marks the final year of China's twelfth five-year plan, the impacts of the weather disasters on China’s economy shall not be overlooked given that it will be an uphill task to prevent and reduce disaster risk in respect of agriculture.
2015 is a sensitive year and there can be no glaring flaws on China’s economy.
