According to the latest statistics released by China's customs, China imported 7.4 million barrels per day in April, overtook the US as the world’s biggest importer of crude oil. 2015 could be the year when China first becomes the world’s largest importer of crude oil. In fact, there has been discussion on China becoming the world’s largest importer of crude oil. This is not surprising, however, becoming the world’s largest crude oil importer means that China has to allocate more resources in the global market to maintain the supply of crude oil, apart from securing fund to buy the crude oil, there is also a need to ensure the safety in transporting crude oil. It is not easy to become the world’s largest crude oil importer.
