The recent involvement of state-owned big banks into the campaign of attracting deposits has further enhanced the deposit competition among banks, unveiling the seriousness of deposit outflows in commercial banks. ANBOUND research team suggests that in order to handle this problem, on the one hand, banks should enhance their efforts in attracting deposits while innovating their service approaches, and on the other hand, they should expand diversified profit channels and increase their non-interest incomes. Meanwhile, they should also accelerate their pace of internationalization so as to explore international markets.
