China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) thinks that the actual consumption of iron and steel in China has already reached or about to reach consumption peak value. With overcapacity of the industry, the oversupply situation of iron and steel market is hard to change in short time and the price of steel is unlikely to rise sharply. In the opinion of ANBOUND research team, with slowdown of economic growth and the increase of environmental protection pressure, the development of iron and steel industry has to transform. In the future, Chinese iron and steel industry will develop towards high-end, environmental protection and internationalization direction. With the industry at a low ebb, iron and steel enterprises need to make adjustment and get prepared.
