The State Council Urgently Investigates and Considers Proposals from the Banking Players
ANBOUND

In responding to market calls, the State Council issued an emergency notice that requires China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) to collect proposals from various financial institutions on the measures to improve the country's banking governance and investment. The proposals would then be reported back to the State Council by June 28. Anbound think-tank scholars consider that the plunge in the domestic stock market and the criticisms over the current monetary policies within the financial industry have raised the attention among the State Council’s top leadership members. Since the aim is to collect market views for considerations in the decision-making authority, there is a possibility that the State Council would enhance the policy adjustments in the financial sector.
