Chinese Government Should Give up its Self-approbation in Population Policies
ANBOUND
ANBOUND think tank scholars have previously noted that it is already normality for China to have a lower child-bearing willingness and thus it is urgent to totally liberalize the two-child policy given the disappointing result of the selective one. International experience shows that the more modernized a country or region is, the higher the ratio of child-bearing unwillingness will be, which will directly lead to population reduction. However, China's governments at various levels seem becoming more and more complacent over China’s population policy and still hold firm on family planning policy. Given the tendency of lower birth rate and workforce crisis, China should further liberalize its childbearing policy.
