Reform and Stability

Compared with political reform, China's economic reform faces specific issues due to its complicated institutional structure. Moreover, it involves greater structural adjustment and is more likely to be opposed or even resisted by vested interests. More importantly, reform does not mean abandoning the past but one that is pursued with the aim of ensuring stability along the reform path. For this, gradual and steady implementations of reform measures proved to be highly crucial.
