China Should Rethink About Venezuela Crisis
ANBOUND
The crisis that Venezuela is facing is a big trouble for China. If the crisis deteriorates, China's huge commercial interest in Venezuela will be at risk. In the opinion of ANBOUND think tank scholars, the situation in Venezuela shows that China should change its traditional way of foreign investment. With growing foreign investment and credit scale, China is no longer an insignificant latecomer, but an important stakeholder. The risks of politics, society, wealth gap, human rights, and environment etc. that western countries used to focus on, are also important for Chinese investors. China will have similar risks if it keeps ignoring these problems.
