Last year, both Russia and European countries suffers a lot due to the sanctions they imposed on each other. Some European countries including France, Germany and Italy want to lift sanctions and restore their relations with Russia as soon as possible in 2015. In the opinion of ANBOUND think tank scholars, it is obviously good news for Russia that EU countries are no longer so determined to impose sanctions on Russia. If Russia can take advantage of the situation and both the two parties can compromise, it will contribute to change the passivity of Russia.
