Sun Yafu, a deputy director of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, recently said that both sides of the strait can discuss each other jurisdiction on the condition that it would not lead to "two Chinas" or "one China, one Taiwan". This means that both Mainland China and Taiwan may recognize each other governments as long as it is within the "one China" framework.
