As China's real estate industry is receding, thought of urban development is also seen a shift. The previous mode of relying on land finance to support a city’s development shall not be sustained, and there is an urgent need of transformation. ANBOUND research team suggests that China has entered a stage of emphasizing urban environment and social implications of development, which demands a new thought of urban strategy. The shift from urban expansion to urban renewal implies a series of changes ranging from development mode to decision mechanism and construction main bodies. Under this circumstance, think tanks with foresight thinking, study and practices are needed.
