South Korea and Australia Will Join AIIB Eventually
ANBOUND
Although interested in Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Australia, South Korea and Indonesia haven't signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Establishing AIIB since the establishment of AIIB is boycotted by America and Japan. ANBOUND think tank scholars point out that South Korea and Australia will be important countries in Asia and Oceania in the future. Economically, they are closely tied to China. But when it comes to national security, they are manipulated by America. Thus, they are very sensitive about joining AIIB which is initiated by China and will change Asia financial structure. However, as long as there aren’t great policy changes in China, South Korea and Australia will eventually join AIIB. Raising standards of ecology, energy conservation and environmental protection while promoting Asian infrastructure construction will contribute to the participation of South Korea and Australia.
