China's money worship trend is offensive but haunted. In the view of ANBOUND think tank scholars, money worship has profound social connotation and background in China, rather than just an occasional and short-term social phenomenon. The development status quo of the money worship is closely related with China’s future. China has deviated from the world trend in terms of social development. In the future, China won’t necessarily push forward its "naturally" continuous opening-up. It may even once again isolate itself from the outside world and return to conservatism and seclusion, like the previous one in history, as a kind of self-imposed isolation.
