Employment Can't be the Prime Indicator for Government Performance Evaluation in the Short Run

In the context of transformation, it is agreed by all parties that the government performance evaluation system which only takes into account "GDP" should be modified. ANBOUND research team points out that the coming year is vital for drafting the “Thirteenth Five-Year” Plan. In the next five-year plan, the status of employment guarantee and deepening economic reform will be improved, though in the short run, the practical importance of GDP growth target may not be dramatically decreased and the employment target may not be the prime indicator for government performance evaluation.
