German Industry 4.0 plan has been an example for Chinese industry transformation and upgrading since the very beginning. Currently, Germany is the largest European investor in China. ANBOUND think tank scholars regard this as a great opportunity for China, since China wants to introduce advanced technologies from foreign countries. China should use its "Chinese market" advantage to get relatively equal status in Chinese and German joint ventures to serve Chinese economic transformation and upgrading. But this needs active efforts of Chinese enterprises.
