Data released recently by Global Carbon Project show that China has surpassed the combined amount of the US and Europe in terms of total carbon emission. ANBOUND think tank scholars point out that China will face more severe "trials" from international society due to these data. Given China's rigid growth of energy consumption, the country will be inevitably burdened with greater international pressure. In addition, the carbon emission evaluation system needs to be changed, replacing intensity control with incremental control. It is the time that China should take this problem seriously.
