China's new energy automobile development is moving towards the field of electric vehicles. Chinese government has presented an ambition of "overtaking around the curves". Since little differences existed at the starting point of the new energy automobiles in countries across the globe, China has access to catch up with other developed countries in terms of automotive industry. But ANBOUND research team doesn’t possibly believe the myth of "an inevitably successful overtaking" and is not optimistic about its prospect. The gap of manufacturing and R&D among various countries indicates the comprehensive level of industrial system, which cannot be filled through a simple selection of certain technological path. The challenges Chinese electric vehicles faced won’t be any smaller than traditional ones.
