Main Opnions

For a long time, the United States has been drawing China's neighboring countries to become allies, such as Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, etc. But the relationship between the Philippines and the United States was broken, and it began to turn to China, even if there was a territorial dispute between China and the Philippines.

As for how China should deal with its relations with neighboring countries, president Wang Wen said: "I think it is very wise for the Philippines to turn to China. In the past, the former president of the Philippines believed too much in the United States, but the new president came to power and realized that the United States can only give the Philippines empty promises and China can provide regular support for the Philippines. The Filipinos are smart. They know who's good and who's liar. So I think it sets a good example for China's neighboring countries. I have full confidence in Vietnam, Malaysia and other countries, even in South Korea and Japan."

Controversy

In contact with American think tank scholars, the topics discussed were "wide" and "narrow". "Broad" refered to a wide range of issues, ranging from the international order to China US economic and trade relations, China's economic reform, climate change, cybersecurity, capital market access and volatility, bilateral investment agreements, South China Sea issues, etc.; And "narrow" refered to although there were many problems to be solved, but they were relatively concentrated ones, which can be seen clearly. Just like a doctor looking at a person, although there were many unhealthy indicators, they could be found out at a glance, which was not difficult.

Some people were pessimistic about China US relations, but I was optimistic. Because the crux of China US relations was not that one has cancer, but that one's nutrition is too good, like diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity and so on. We needed to make great efforts to slowly reduce some key indicators.
