On 8 April 2019, Dr. II-Chong Nam, Professor for KDI School of Public Policy and Management visited Anbound.
He Jun, Director of China Economic
Research Center, Wang Yi, Head of Global Development Program, and Chen Yanghong, Assistant Researcher of Chinese Economy exchanged the insights with Dr. Nam. The topics discussed cover the development of conglomerate and consortia, the histories and
lessons from the U.S. industrial conglomerates, Japanese Zaibatsus and Korean Chaebol, corporate governance and the privatization of state-owned enterprises in Korea, the previous financial crisis and impacts on Korea's economy, the Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and small & medium businesses.
Director He Jun introduced the policy analysis and main viewpoints of Anbound, on issues related to
SOEs' reform, Consortium Economy, and ANBOUND's policy research model
based on continous information tracking over the two decades.
Dr. Nam said
such exchange of views very helpful for his field research, expressed his hope to
increase research communications and cooperation with Anbound in the future.
